Welcome to Roberta Bondar PS!

Welcome to Roberta Bondar Public School.  We look forward to welcoming your child, or children, on Tuesday September 3rd for  2019-2020 school year. Whether you are a returning family, or a new one joining us, we look forward to being part of your child's educational journey.

A few important pieces of information that may be helpful to you as you look ahead to the 2019-2020 school year:

First day of school: Tuesday September 3rd, 2019.

All first year, or new to school, Kindergarten students will have received information for their intake meeting either on September 3rd or 4th.  If you did not receive this information, please call the school on or after August 26. Kindergarten students will either start on September 6th or 7th.

All students from Grades 1 to 8  are to gather on the playground between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. Grade 7 and 8 students will assemble on the West side of the playground near the basketball courts, Primary students near the primary doors by the glass breezeway, and Junior students near the East doors. Class lists and Homerooms will be posted by division. Staff will be present to help students find their assigned class and assemble in the correct homeroom.  At 9:00 AM, the school bell will ring and classes will proceed with their homeroom teacher into the school .

School Supplies: A list of recommended basic school supplies that all students should have access to for the year is available here:  School Supplies.

Staying Connected: School information is sent out most commonly via email from the office or your child's homeroom teacher.  It is essential that we have up to date contact information (email, phone). You will receive a printout of the current contact information we have for you at the beginning of the school year.  Please make sure that any changes to any information on these sheets is recorded and returned to school. Our school website (  ) has a school calendar and other important information.

Attendance: Daily attendance and punctuality are essential to your child's success in school. If your son or daughter is going to be absent or late for an appointment or other family situation, please contact the Office by email at or at 613-736-7334.
