Bondar Update (November 9, 2020)
Posted on 11/10/2020

Dear Bondarians,

We hope you all enjoyed the warm weather this weekend and were able to spend some time outside with your families.

Remembrance Day

Our Remembrance Day ceremony will look a little different this year.  Our students will participate in activities in their classes as well as watching a presentation. At 11:00am our school will pause for two minutes of silence, to reflect, respect and appreciate those who sacrificed their lives for our country.

The OCDSB has put together a video that will go live at 10:35am on November 11th.

Traffic/Morning Arrival Reminders

We have noticed with our recent changes in weather conditions that more families are driving their children to school on a regular basis.  We would like to remind families that we have our Walk a Block sign with a QR code to assist with finding parking in the community (i.e. on a side street) and walking to the school property to drop off your child.  The exercise and fresh air are a great way to start the day and get ready for learning. We are thankful for the Gloucester Presbyterian Church for the use of their parking lot for families to park as well.

In order to ensure everyone’s safety please be sure to follow the parking signs as well as rules of the road when in our school zone.

Progress Reports

Our staff are currently working on Progress Reports.  The reports will be issued on Friday November 20th through the parent portal.  On Wednesday November 4th, parents who have not already done so were able to register on the portal. You only need to register once, even if you have more than one child in the OCDSB. Your secure account will give you access to all of your children's report card data.

For detailed registration instructions, please visit our website.

If you have previously registered for the portal, you do not need to register a second time.

Questions about the portal should be directed to your child’s school.

We will have interviews on November 26th for teachers to connect with families and discuss student progress.  The interview times for that evening will be for families where the teacher has requested an interview.  If you would like to discuss your child’s progress, and their teacher has not asked for an interview please contact the teacher to set up an appointment for another day/time.  A reminder that families are always welcome to request a meeting with their child’s teacher throughout the school year.

Please continue to check our school website for parent resources, community messages, and our calendar at

Stay safe and be well,
