Bondar Update (January 18, 2020)
Posted on 01/18/2021

Dear Bondarians:

This week marks the beginning of our third week of remote learning, before we return to in-person learning on Monday, January 25.  We will send out further information at the end of this week on procedures for return to school, including reviews and updates to our safety protocols, and procedures for returning any borrowed technology. We appreciate all the work you have done as parents to support your child(ren) in remote learning.

Toonie Tuesday:

Each year the Education Foundation reaches out for your help to provide the necessary support to OCDSB students in the most need of our help across Ottawa.  Students and their families are in even greater need than before. At the OCDSB, our work is built on three pillars: a culture of innovation, caring, and social responsibility. Paired with the Education Foundation of Ottawa’s belief that “it’s about what kids deserve.” That’s why we’re here. We want to reduce barriers to ensure ALL students have the basic necessities they need to learn confidently. We do this by providing appropriate food, clothing, school supplies, healthcare supports, and access to opportunities for students.  Help us say “YES” when we receive requests for support. Mental Health During COVID-19

We understand that this is a challenging time for everyone and it is normal to be anxious and worried. Looking after your physical and mental health will help you and everyone around you be more resilient and in a better position to deal with this situation.

The OCDSB has compiled a list of online resources that provide factual information and tips to support student, staff and parent/guardian mental health & well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Be well and stay safe,
