Dear Bondarians:
Angels With Backpacks
Thanks to all the students and families who supported our Angels With Backpacks campaign, in support of Ottawa Youth Services Bureau. Classes loaded backpacks with items that would be helpful to youth experiencing homelessness. Thanks to Ms Joslin for organizing this project at Roberta Bondar, and for helping us all to remember that even in difficult times, we can always reach out to help those in need.
Food Drive
Roberta Bondar's annual food drive will start on Monday, December 7th and will run until Wednesday, December 16th. This year we are accepting cash and nonperishable food donations. Cash donations are encouraged. For every dollar donated the food bank can buy FIVE dollars worth of food; they can buy fresh food and meats. Nonperishable food items to donate include pasta, beans, rice, canned fruit or vegetables, canned fish, and cereal. Items such as diapers are also accepted. Items can be sent with students to be dropped off in their zones. Thank you for helping us give a little back to our community.
